For CyberGate, we maintain the so-called “Compatibility List.” But what does it actually mean if a manufacturer's logo is included on that list? Why do we do it, and why is it important for our customers?
SIP is SIP, right?
Well, not exactly …
As some of our customers know, CyberTwice employees don’t just have experience in developing and deploying SaaS solutions (CyberGate and ATTEST – our intercom & Teams user call recording solution). Some of us used to work for an IP Video Intercom equipment manufacturer. That’s where we learned first-hand that although SIP is an international standard, implementations vary significantly between manufacturers.
This can result in issues like:
Overall, about 70% to 80% of our interop tests are completed successfully. Sometimes a firmware update is required from the equipment manufacturer. Other times, we make adjustments to CyberGate to ensure compatibility.
What does it take for a connected device to be officially supported?
What does it really mean for a device (e.g., IP Video Intercom or IP Paging System) to be included on the CyberGate Compatibility List?
Well, there’s more to it than meets the eye. It means four things, actually:
Are you a potential CyberGate SaaS customer looking to connect IP Devices to Microsoft Teams that aren’t yet on our Compatibility List?
Are you an Equipment Manufacturer looking to become compatible with CyberGate – for IP Video Intercoms, IP Paging Systems, or SIP-enabled IP CCTV Cameras?
Let us know via the contact form on our website and we’ll get back to you.
Keep in mind: (y)our customers are asking for audio & video integration into Teams!
