Two features on the way: Scheduling for CyberGate Call Groups, and Scheduled Call Routing that plays a Voice Prompt to visitors outside office hours.

Alongside the features shipping now, two additions to CyberGate's call routing are close enough to talk about. Both come down to the same idea: who answers the door should depend on when someone rings it.

Add schedules to CyberGate Call Groups

Already using CyberGate Call Groups for sequential and parallel calling to Teams? Soon you will be able to add Scheduling, routing calls based on the day of the week and the time of day.

All schedules are managed centrally in CyberGate through a single unified interface that works across 30 intercom manufacturers' products, making it easier to connect visitors with the right Teams users at the right time. One place to maintain, whatever mix of hardware is on your walls.

Scheduled Call Routing to Voice Prompts

CyberGate is also expanding its call routing with Scheduled Call Routing to Voice Prompts. During office hours, calls from an IP Video Intercom are routed to Teams users as usual. Outside business hours, CyberGate automatically plays a voice prompt instead, so a visitor at the door hears something useful rather than an unanswered ring.

Voice Prompts are straightforward to set up in the CyberGate Management Portal:

  1. Enter the text you want visitors to hear.
  2. Add the Voice Prompt as a call destination in your routing schedule.
  3. From then on, CyberGate either connects the call to Teams or plays the prompt, depending on the time and day.

It is a simple, effective way to tell visitors about office hours, alternative contact options or emergency instructions, all managed centrally from CyberGate's vendor-agnostic interface.
